Hold Out, Cop Out, Drop Out or All Out?

Part of the community we have with Carbon Copy Pro is a daily “wake up” call each day at 9:30AM CST hosted by industry veteran and legend John Jackson.  Basically we get together every morning for a cup of leadership to start our day, hanging out with like minded entrepreneurs, and getting inspired for the day ahead.

Today, John’s discussion centered around the four paths people take to accomplish a worthwhile goal, and I thought it interesting enough that I would share it here as well.

The first type of person is the “cop out“…

These people are don’t have any goals  and never want to improve. In fact, they just want things to stay the same, and do nothing to improve their situation or the situation of their families. You know the type.

The second type of person is the “hold out“…

Unlike the “cop out” the “hold out” does indeed want more in life, but are too afraid to really go after their wishes. Fear controls their life and paralyzes them.  Hard to accomplish anything if you are stuck in fear.

The third type of person is the “drop out”

Better than a hold out, a drop out gets in the game working towards their goal, but the first little obstacle knocks them off course. Since there are always obstacles, these people never finish any kind of substantial objective.

Finally there are the “all out”

This type of person has big goals, figures out what he needs to to accomplish that goal,  no matter what, and ends up accomplishing big things in life. These people tend to be the ones walking across stage with all the awards and recognition, taking home the big pay checks, and living the life we all want.
