Is Carbon Copy Pro an MLM?
Another common question people ask me: “Is CCPro an MLM?”
Good question…
The short answer is no, not really. It has similarities to multi level marketing in that both are in the direct sales for of distribution, both are “network marketing”, but a significant difference exists.
You see in traditional multi-level marketing pay structures, the commissions are split through many levels 5,6 7, even 12 for a popular raging on the internet as I write this. Because of this, when you make a sale you earn a small commission, in the 5% to 10% range, in the hopes that your team will grow and you’ll get massive leverage down the road.
We currently use the Carbon Copy Pro marketing system to promote a top tier direct sales product family, and we earn about 50% on all personal sales we make. We also get paid about 30% on the sales of those of our personal team members (not counting rollup if they don’t qualify).
The advantage to a compensation plan like this is you can get to a full time income very fast, on the order of 60-90 days. The downside is that the income is not really residual… but residual income is mostly a myth in the network marketing industry anyway. I’ll devote another post to that concept on another day.
So to sum up, Carbon Copy Pro is not really MLM, but it is certainly network marketing, and shares many of the same strategies.
